Gas, power supply to industries to improve from tomorrow: FBCCI

Gas and power supply to industrial units will improve from tomorrow evening as the government has taken measures, FBCCI (Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Administrator Md Fazlul Hoque said today.

He was speaking at a press conference at the secretariat in Dhaka, held after a meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

Earlier, leaders of 21 trade bodies met the prime minister to discuss the gas and power supply situation in industries.

The gas shortage in recent months has severely hit power generation, resulting in reduced factory operations, and disrupting daily life and domestic cooking across the country. However, the situation has improved this month.
