Citibank NA celebrates 30th anniversary
Citibank NA recently celebrated its 30th anniversary of providing financial services and product solutions across an Institutional Clients Group in Bangladesh, says a press release.
Attending as chief guest, Kazi M Aminul Islam, executive chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, expected Citi's continued support in Bangladesh's “enormous economic and social development strides”, saying the country was poised to continue growing over the next 30 years.
Special guest Md Ashadul Islam, secretary to the Bank and Financial Institutions Division, congratulated Citi for being an important partner in building Bangladesh's financial ecosystem.
Hosting the celebration, N Rajashekaran, managing director and Citi country officer for Bangladesh, “Citi has been and continues to be involved in partnering progress in Bangladesh. We are well positioned to support the evolution of Bangladesh”.
James Morrow, managing director and sub cluster head, Citi Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, said, “Since our establishment in New York 206 years ago, Citibank has developed into the most global banking institution with operations in 98 countries.”
The programme was also attended by Jan Metzger, managing director, head of Asia Pacific, Corporate and Investment Banking, and Mridula Iyer, managing director and head of Treasury and Trade Solutions, Citi South Asia Cluster.
