Trust Bank signs MoU with Bangladesh Angels Network to strengthen startup ecosystem
Trust Bank PLC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Angels Network (BAN) aimed at bridging institutional financial strength with the dynamism of early-stage startups, fostering new avenues for growth and investment.
Sadat Ahmad Khan, senior vice-president and head of the SME division of Trust Bank PLC, and Ivy Huq Russell, chief executive officer of Bangladesh Angels Network, signed the MoU at the bank's head office in Dhaka today, according to a press release.
Under this collaboration, Trust Bank and Bangladesh Angels Network will work jointly to identify promising startups and support them through access to capital, strategic advisory services, knowledge-sharing, capacity-building programmes, and business readiness initiatives.
The initiative is expected to accelerate innovation, boost entrepreneurship, and enhance opportunities for young founders across the country.
Speaking on the occasion, leaders of both organisations expressed optimism that the partnership will contribute meaningfully to the growth of emerging ventures and inspire new entrepreneurs to scale confidently with institutional backing.
Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, managing director and CEO of the bank, was also present, along with deputy managing directors and senior officials from both institutions, reflecting a strong collective commitment to empowering Bangladesh's startup ecosystem.
