BB wants removal of Farmers Bank MD

Bangladesh Bank has sent a letter to Farmers Bank to remove its Managing Director AKM Shamim.

The letter was sent today asking why Managing Director Shamim of the private bank would not be removed within seven days, said an official of the central bank.

The letter was served as MD Shamim failed to manage liquidity of the bank, the official added.
