The first ever Hardware Hackathon- 'Make-a-thon' will be starting from the 18th of November. This three daylong event is expected to attract tech enthusiasts, developers, makers, designers, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors.

Aimed to give developers, designers and makers a chance to work on next gen of technology and developed prototypes, this event expects to raise a community of gizmo lovers who doesn't confine themselves with tech development, rather they come up with innovative concepts to solve local problems.

One of the interesting thing about this event is anyone irrespective of their background can participate. ‘You need to be tech aficionado to participate in our event. We really don't care what you studied in. ' said Mr. Minhaz Anwar, CEO of Better Stories Asia and the host of the event. While addressing the press in an informal gathering, Mr. Anwar also added: 'This would be first of a kind hackathon in Bangladesh, particularly in this scale. We expect these sorts of events will help the gizmo lovers to build unique and functioning prototypes block by block.' Tech Shop BD, a concern of Onnorokom Group, will be supplying the participants with their arsenal. Google Glass, Pebble, kinect, arrays of sensors, Intel Galileo boards, Raspberry Pi and varieties of chipset- you name it, all will be at the disposal of the developers.

And the best part is: the winner will get the chance to represent Bangladesh at Makerfest 2015 in Ahmadabad, India. If you are really into hardware and gadgets them don't forget to register here: www.bangladeshstartup.com
