Bolts and nuttery
Wheel lug nuts are like bass guitarists: very important but usually overlooked. They hold wheels in place. That's as important a job as the guy who cleans nuclear station switches without pressing any buttons. But there's a trick to tightening lug nuts. You'll see in the images that the common thing is to follow a bit of a diagonal pattern. Reason: this helps seat the rim onto the hub properly. Also, don't completely tighten the nuts as you move from one to the next. Follow the patterns gradually to tighten them all.
This should be a helpful guide to keep your nuts tight and in place.
