7 DU-affiliated colleges will hold exams, halls to stay closed: education ministry

Authorities will hold all ongoing and previously announced examinations of seven Dhaka University-affiliated colleges by maintaining health guidelines.

But the dormitories will not be open during the exams, according to a notice issued by the education ministry this afternoon.

Students have to maintain health guidelines as a prerequisite to attending examinations, the notice reads.

The decision comes following an emergency virtual meeting between Education Minister Dipu Moni and the principals of seven colleges, the notice added.

Students withdraw blockade after assurance of exam continuation

Students of seven Dhaka University affiliated colleges withdrew their protest progamme today shortly after the education ministry announced that their ongoing examinations will continue. 

Vehicle movement at Nilkhet and Science Lab and adjacent areas returned to normal after the blockade was withdrawn after 4:00pm today.
