Woman, 2 daughters found dead at home

A woman and her two daughters were found dead in their home in Sylhet city's Dakkhin Surma area yesterday.

The deceased were identified as Jony Begum Sheuli, 32, wife of Hasan Munshi of Kamalapur in Maksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district, and their daughters -- Mim, 15, and Sima, 12.

Smelling bad odour coming from the house at Mostafa Miah Colony in Jhalopara, neighbours called police, said Officer-in-Charge Khairul Fazal of Dakkhin Surma Police Station.

Later, police broke open the door to find the trio lying dead, he said.

They could not trace Hasan Munshi, the OC said.
