Two members of Jubo Samiti, an associate organisation of PCJSS (MN Larma), were killed allegedly by UPDF members in Baghaichhari upazila yesterday.
Both of the deceased -- identified as Juddho Chandra Chakma, 35, and Nayanjyoti Chakma, 30 -- were residents of Agalachhara village in Bangoltoli union.
Armed members of the United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) first abducted the two victims from their homes around 3:00am and later killed them inside the forest nearby, said local sources.
Saroj Kanti Chakma, president of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS - MN Larma) Baghaichhari unit, confirmed the killings of the two Jubo Samiti men, saying that armed UPDF men have committed the crime.
Rebutting the allegation, UPDF Baghaichhari unit chief Jewel Chakma claimed that the two people were killed due to an internal feud of the PCJSS. "We are not involved in the incident."

Additional force has been deployed in the area, he added.
