On the 30th and 31st of May, the Fashion Design Council Bangladesh (FDCB) hosted their multi designer event Dhaka Chic Fashion Fair. This event, like the previous gatherings by FDCB, was a continuation of their commitment to achieve an ethical and sustainable system for the fashion industry.

Tasneem’S Couture is a break away from traditional, and a leap towards a new generation of cocktail saris that would honestly be showstoppers at galas, balls, and masquerades. The brand specialises in saris, in combinations of silk, lace and intricate embellishments.

Rose by Nizhu is one designer boutique that takes immense pride in building a community that dresses in fabrics purely Bangladeshi. Rojina Akter Khanam, designer and owner of ‘Rose by Nizhu,’ believes that in order for local fashion brands to stand out, their priority should be to uphold and cherish our Bangladeshi identity.

Thanks to the collaboration of Puma India and DBL Group, the globally renowned sports brand, finally made its way to the Bangladesh market with their first flagship store in Banani 11.

On 30 March, 2019 Maheen Khan, her team, and friends of Monokrome got together to celebrate the first year of the Monokrome. Maheen, who shares the name with the celebrated designer of Mayasir fame, collaborated with yogis Shazia Omar and Ulfath Kuddus.
