Moving away from Shibganj Bazar in Chapainawabganj, our autorickshaw crosses the truss bridge over the Pagla river on a hot June noon. Apart from mangoes and mosques, there is a third “M” in Chapainawabganj: Monakasha, the westernmost area of Bangladesh and my destination for the day.

In other words, the Finnish government sells extensive security and Finns buy it by paying taxes throughout their working life.
