The launching ceremony of Maleka Khan’s book, Jamdani: Bangladesher Bisshonondito Oitijjo, took place at Bangladesh National Museum (BNM) recently.

The memoir, Oporajeyo Muhammad Jahangir, in remembrance of prominent cultural activist, media personality and journalist Muhammad Jahangir, was launched at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro on February 29. The event was hosted by dancer duo Shamim Ara Nipa and Shibli Mohammad from Nrityanchal.

Recently, ‘Theatre Cycle: Arts, Action, Change’ officially inaugurated their group and staged the play, ‘Roots and Wings’, originally written by Terry Roueche.

As a tribute to the renowned theatre personality Ishrat Nishat, Abritty Kollan Trust, with the help of Bangladesh Abritty Somonnoy Parishad, arranged a poetry recital programme titled, Shilper Kalyane Abritty at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), recently.

A group print exhibition, Deconstruction for Change, opened recently at Gallery Chitrak in Dhanmondi.

A solo art exhibition titled, Vinima in Bangladesh, was inaugurated recently at Britto Arts Trust in Green Road, Dhaka. The exhibition is showcasing artifacts by Indian sculptor Vinima Gulati.

A group art exhibition titled, NOUVEAUX VENUS, The newcomers, concluded recently at Gallery Chitrak in Dhanmondi. The exhibition was sponsored by Ananada Shipyard & Slipways Ltd.
