Shama Rahman to perform at IGCC today

Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) has organised an evening of Rabindra Sangeet by Shama Rahman, at the IGCC Gulshan-1 premises at 6:30pm today (October 1).

As autumn is in the air, the artiste has selected songs from Pro\kriti and Prem parjaye to perform at the event that is open to all. Shama Rahman's repertoire will include “Bajilo Kahar Veena”, “Hela Phela Sara Bela”, “Sakorun Benu Bajaye Ke Jaye”, “Tomra Ja Bolo Ta Bolo” and “Modhuro Roop-e Birajo”.

“I have specially selected a few uncommon songs for my audience,” says Shama Rahman. 

Shama Rahman is one of the leading contemporary Rabindra Sangeet singers of Bangladesh. So far, she has 14 albums of Rabindra Sangeet to her credit. Besides concerts in Bangladesh, Shama frequently performs in cities across India, Canada, USA, and many countries in Europe.
