Angkan wins Khudey Gaanraj

The sixth season of Dion Chocolate-Channel i Khudey Gaanraj crowned its winner, Barisal's Angkan. In a glamorous grand finale at the Bangabandhu International Conference, he was handed his crown, cash prize of Taka 5 lakh, a 10-year educational scholarship and a health insurance. Oikko from Thakurgaon and Oishi from Chittagong were the first and second runners up respectively, and were awarded cash prizes of Taka 3 lac and Taka 2 lac respectively, along with education scholarships and health insurances.

The event also featured a tribute to recently-deceased Lucky Akhand by the seven finalists of the competition, a dance medley, and performances by Samina Chowdhury and Kumar Bishwajit. Shafi Mondal, Meher Afroz Shaon, Shafiq Tuhin, Ankhi Alamgir and three Shera Kontho artistes also performed duets with the finalists. A special attraction of the event was a musical performance by eminent Indian singer Mitali Mukherjee. Mitali Mukherjee was also introduced as a judge of the upcoming Fizz Up-Channel i Shera Kontho (Season 6), while Maria Nur was introduced as its host.
