Kangana to start filming “Simran” in October

Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film “Simran”, directed by Hansal Mehta, will go on floors in the first week of October, the actress confirmed.

The 29-year-old actress, who will be portraying a Gujarati NRI, was recently in Atlanta for a workshop for the film.

“The workshop went quite well. We will start with the shooting next month, in the first week of October,” she told journalists, when asked about the film's status at the Mumbai airport.

Kangana's sister Rangoli tweeted pictures from the recce and workshop session with the director and the team:

The film is reportedly the story of a girl, her ambitions and how she is engulfed to the world of crime.

Kangana was last seen in “Katti Batti” opposite Imran Khan last year, and has Vishal Bhardwaj's “Rangoon” in the pipeline.
