Four among eight inmates who fled from Jashore juvenile correction centre early yesterday, have been rescued.

One of them was rescued today while three others were returned last night, reports our Benapole correspondent.

Police and Department of Social Service started the rescue operation soon after eight inmates -- aged between 13 and 15 -- fled from Jashore juvenile correction centre after breaking open a window early yesterday, said Zakir Hossain, superintendent of the correction centre.

With the help of the Department of Social Service, the four inmates were rescued and brought back to the centre.

The eight inmates who fled the centre were from Jashore, Khulna, Narail, Gopalganj and Barisal districts.
