Safma dialogue held in Bogra

South Asian Free Media Association (Safma), Bangladesh organised the dialogue with Reaz Uddin Ahmed, president of Safma, Bangladesh chapter, in the chair.

Vice president of Safma, Bangladesh, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) leaders Manjurul Ahsan Bulbul and Mozammel Haque, BFUJ Secretary General Rahul Amin Gazi, and Jatiya Press Club General Secretary Shawket Mahammud also addressed the session.

At least 80 journalists including journalists of Bogra, Rajshahi and Dinajpur districts, attended the programme,

This is the first Safma conference outside Dhaka, said Reaz Uddin Ahmmed.

Four more seminars will be held in divisional headquarters and district towns to take suggestions regarding free media and journalist-friendly laws, he added.
