Bangladesh launches e-content race

The E-content Award 2005 has been introduced to select the best e-contents for the upcoming World Summit Award 2005, the gala event of which is scheduled to be held at Tunisia on November, says a press release. This is the official national selection process to participate at final WSA event. The final winners will be honoured by the head of the state. Detailed guideline and participation rules are available at the official web site www.e-content.org This event is jointly organised by Ministry of Science and ICT in association with International Center for New Media (Austria).

e-Education, e-Health, e-Government, e-Business, e-Culture, e-Inclusion, e-Entertainment and e-Science are the eight official categories for the participation to the event. Any complete e-content such as CD/VCD/DVD, software/multimedia as well as web site/web portal/mobile content could take part in this event. Last date of entry is May 30, 2005. Final result for the national winner will be announced on June 25, 2005. A panel of highly experienced eleven-member national jury will select the final winners and they will compete with others national winners around the world. Mohammed Akteruzzaman, a national expert is working as the co-orinator for this event. He was the Grand Jury of last World Summit Award event. It should be mentioned that Prime Minister, Khaleda Zia honoured last years winner at the World Summit Award held at Switzerland.
