All set for 5th Softfair 2004
"Our motive is to create a bridge between the corporate buyers and the computer science students of the nation," said Mehedi Hasan, president, NSUCC.
"We wish to bring the numerous talents into focus, who are not getting enough opportunities to implement their innovative ideas," he said.
"We are trying to grow enthusiasm among students, who are capable of producing software, which can compete at international level," said Miftahur Rahman, chairman, Computer Science and Engineering Department, North South University while speaking to the members of the press.
Ehsanul Haque Milon, state minister for education is expected to inaugurate the three-day event starting from March 25 at Hotel Sheraton. The fair would have 40 participants from different public and private universities, IT training institutes, software and hardware companies of the country.
The organisers have arranged seminars every day along with quiz competitions. The fair would be open for all visitors. The North South University Computer Club has also arranged free internet browsing cards for the first one thousand visitors of the fair.
