Daulatpur Agri College students ransack principal's office
The college authorities announced the date for diploma course examination on Saturday next.
The students said the principal became furious and turned them out of his office when they appealed for shifting the examination date.
The angry students then went on rampage and caused extensive damage to furniture, windowpanes and other valuable things of the office of the principal.
They also confined the principal in his room keeping it under lock and key. Later he was rescued by joint forces.
The students blamed the principal for the situation and threatened to launch greater movement.
They also decided to boycott the classes till their demands are met.
When contacted, Principal Siddiqur Rahman termed the demands as unacceptable and illegal.
He also expressed his deter mination not to bow down to the pressure of the students.
