Police arrested a total of 1696 people, including two listed criminals, during their countrywide drive in last 24 hours ending at 6am yesterday.
During the drive, they recovered five firearms, four other weapons and 26 bullets and filed four cases against seven people under the Arms Act, says a police headquarters press release.
