Two die of gas poisoning in septic tank in Nilphamari

The victims were identified as Touhidul Islam, 28, of Kisamat Panchapukur village under Nilphamari sadar upazila and Rashidul Islam, 35, of Chowdhurani village under Pirgachha upazila in Rangpur district.

Abu Taleb, 25, was shifted to Nilphamari hospital in a critical condition.

Sources said the accident occurred when the labourers, engaged by a construction firm to remove the shutter, climbed down to the septic tank.

On information, fire brigade personnel reached the spot and recovered the bodies.
