Hasina felicitates Mahathir

In a message to Dr Mahathir, Sheikh Hasina said she considered the speech as a time-befitting guidelines for 1.3 billion Muslims of the world as well as for the OIC.

The opposition leader said Dr Mahathir in his inimitable lucidity had not only articulated the reasons for our present pitiable condition after reviewing the history of the Islamic world but also laid down the immediate imperatives of the Ummah.

Sheikh Hasina also wished complete success of the summit under the able leadership of Dr Mahathir.

In a statement in Dhaka yesterday, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, political secretary to the opposition leader, said Sheikh Hasina greeted the Malaysian prime minister on behalf of the people of Bangladesh.

Expressing on behalf of the people of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina acquainted her heartfelt gratitude and felicitation to honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia for his historic speech and express her good.
