DU Mourning Day today

The day's programme will begin at 6am with hoisting black flags atop of all student dormitories and the main building of the university, keeping the varsity flag at half mast.

Teachers, students, officials and employees will bring out a mourning procession wearing black badges from the foot of the Aparajeo Bangla at 6:30am. They will also place wreaths at the monument at Jagannath Hall.

Members of Hindu, Buddhist and Christian communities will offer prayers seeking divine blessings for the departed souls.

Other programmes include blood donation, special munajat at the mosques of the dormitories and a reminiscent meeting.
