14 held at ZIA with fake passports

Officials found fake endorsement seals and doctored entries for profession in the passports of Ovi Mia, Sirajuddin, Afzal Hossain, Badrul Alam, Mirajuddin, Abdus Salam Bepari, Masud, Nuruzzaman, Abdul Barek, Joynal Abedin, Sirajuddin Mondal, Mizanur Rahman, Yunus Ali and Bachchu Mollah.

They were all scheduled to leave for Libya at 10:15am on an Emirates Airlines flight. Brokers Aminul Haq Iqbal and Jahiruddin Babor took money from them and changed their profession in passports. The pair was arrested outside ZIA later. Datko International, a travelling agency, was sending the 14 to Libya, officials said.

A passport forgery case was filed against the 16 with Airport Police Station.
