DU auditorium named after RC Majumdar
An auditorium at the Lecture Theatre (near Kalabhabon) on the Dhaka University campus has been named after its former Vice Chancellor and noted historian Dr Romesh Chandra (RC) Majumdar. Vice Chancellor Prof SMA Faiz inaugurated the auditorium on Monday as the chief guest at a function to mark the occasion. Chairman of Bangladesh University Grants Commission Prof Mohammod Asaduzzaman, acting Dean of Social Science Faculty Prof Abu Ahmed addressed the function. Dean of Arts Faculty Prof Kazi Shahidullah presided. The air-conditioned auditorium will be available on rent for seminars, symposiums and educational discourses under appropriate permission from the authorities.
