2 cops killed in Narsingdi road mishap
Two policemen were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Palanpur on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway Thursday night.
Police said the accident occurred when a police van was rammed from behind by a Narsingdi-bound bus coming from Dhaka.
Constable Asgar Ali, 45, died on the spot, while constable Fonindra Sutradar on way to hospital.
Of the injured, assistant Sub-Inspector Kohinar and driver of the police van Morshed were admitted to Narsingdi Prime Hospital. Constable Shahadat was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
A case was filed with sadar thana in this connection.
