8,000 phensidyl bottles seized

A team of Demra police halted the truck from Comilla in front of Punam Cinema Hall at about 11:00pm. They seized the Phensidyl and arrested Jasim Uddin, Abul Kalam and Azad.

A case was filed with Demra Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.

Meanwhile, a Rapid Action Team (RAT) of police seized 12.5 kilograms of Cannabis from Jurain and Mazar Gate in Shyampur yesterday.

The RAT raided the house of Akkas Haji and seized 9.5kg cannabis. Another 3kg was seized from a house near Mazar Gate. The team arrested Nannu Mia, Badal and Dulal in this connection.

In another drive, the RAT seized four illegal passports, five application forms and three rubber stamps in front of the Passport Office at Agargaon on Wednesday and arrested Milon and Kalu Mian.
