LDF protests Israeli move to expel Arafat

Later, at a rally at Muktangon, the LDF leaders criticised the United States (US) for giving veto to the United Nations (UN) proposal against Israeli plan to expel Arafat.

They said such an act by the US would instigate terrorism across the world.

The US wants to establish their reign through its support to the terrorist activities of Israel against the Palestinians, they added.

They urged the Jatiya Sangsad to play effective role regarding the US policy in the Middle East.

Demanding US pullout from Iraq, the LDF leaders said Iraq has to be governed by the Iraqis.

The BNP-Jamaat government speaks in favour of Islam but kept mum about the US aggression. They also urged the people to be united against the US aggression.

They LDF leaders said people have to be united against activities of the World Bank ( WB) and the International Monetary Fund ( IMF) as what they said these two institutions serve the interest of the US.

The rally was addressed by Nirmal Sen, Abdullah Sarker, Abdul Matin Chowdhury and Zakir Hossain.
