UP chairman shot dead in Madaripur
Unidentified assailants shot dead a Union Parishad chairman at Baghmara bazar in Shibchar upazila yesterday morning.
Police said a gang of five sprayed bullets on Farooq Hossain Bhuiyan, 40, Chairman of Nilokhi Union Parishad, when he came to a phone shop at the bazar at around 8-30am. Farooq died on the spot.
None was arrested till yesterday evening.
