'Thief' beaten to death

Quoting family members police said Mizan, 20, an alleged thief and addict, left their rented home at southeast Islambagh on June 11 and did not return.

Locals found his body, bearing marks of beating, near the main gate of Hazi Ibrahim Ali Govt Primary School at east Islambagh at 8:00am yesterday.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Mitford hospital for autopsy. Mizan was killed sometime in Friday night, police said.

A murder case was filed with the Lalbagh Police Station but no one was arrested.
