BDR,BSF agree to check cross-border smuggling

The agreement came from a two-day border conference between Bangladesh Rifles and Indian Border Security Force concluded in Khulna yesterday

The deputy director general level conference was held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, said a BDR press release.

Matters relating to killing of unarmed Bangladeshis in border areas, push-in of Indian Bangla-speaking people and trafficking of women and children were also discussed.

Brig General Ibrahim Khalil of Bangladesh Rifles and IG of BSF, South Frontier, Rajender Singh, led their respective sides in the conference.
