Bid to deposit fake notes with bank in Barisal: 3 arrested
Three people including two staff of a local NGO and their client were arrested here yesterday on charge of attempting to deposit forged bank notes at the Barisal Janata Bank Corporate Branch, police and bank sources said.
Bank officials detained field worker MA Rob and accounts officer Zahirul Islam of Jubo Karmasangs-than Society (Jubok), and their microcredit client DHL employee Nurul Alam, after detecting 169 forged notes of 500 taka denomination received from the three men.
