Jewellery shop looted at Tongi

Police said a gang of 30, who came in a minibus, swooped on Haji Market at about 4am and looted 230 tolas of gold and 100 tolas of silver along with the cash from the jewellery shop, 'Fresh Gold'.

Three guards of the market were injured as the robbers beat them up.
