Nirmul Committee protests SQ Chy's OIC nomination
A committee against Liberation War collaborators in a joint statement yesterday lashed out at the government's nomination of an alleged 'war criminal' for the prestigious position of an important international grouping.
In a statement, Ekattarer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee (Committee for the Elimination of the Killers and Collaborators of 1971), strongly protested against Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury's candidature for the secretary general of the Organisation of Islamic Conference.
Signatories to the statement included Advisory Council Secretary General of the committee, Prof Kabir Chowdhury and its Acting Secretary General Prof Muntasir Mamun.
