Contractor shot dead

A gang of five armed men shot Kazi Hasibuddin Ahmad, 45, when he was getting into his car. The

gang fled the spot in another car.

His brother came out of his plastic factory nearby and took him to the National Heart Institute, where doctors declared him dead.

Family sources said Hasibuddin was also shot by extortionists about one and a half years back.

Kafrul police said he was an accused in a murder case filed with the Tejgaon Police Station in 1994.

No case was filed till the writing of this report last night.
