BPSC's clarification on BCS exams
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) yesterday said it only discussed that candidates obtaining 45 per cent marks in both Bangla and English in SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations will be allowed to sit for the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations.
The matter was also mentioned in the annual report.
The commission submitted no formal proposal to the government on it and no decision was taken, the BPSC said.
The commission said it is also actively considering selection of candidates on merit by re-fixing the quota system in the BCS exams and it has already taken some steps.
