10 including 3 journalists injured in attack in Cumilla

At least 10 people -- including three journalists -- were injured during an attack carried out by unknown criminals in Cumilla's Brahmanpara upazila today.

The injured journalists are Ashiqur Rahman Ashik, Cumilla correspondent of Jagaran TV; Abdus Samad Bappi, cameraperson of MyTV; and Jahidul Haque Babu, news editor of One News.

The injured journalists were given primary treatment and referred to Cumilla General Hospital, Brahmanpara Upazila Health Officer Dr Md Abu Hasnat Mubin told our local correspondent.

Additional Superintendent of Police in the district Azimul Ahsan said they heard the news and sent additional police force in the area.

The incident took place when they were going to a polling centre at Dulalpur Bazar in the upazila around 11:15am, our Cumilla correspondent reports.
