Crime patterns of 2 escaped militants being analysed: Rab

Star Digital Report

The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) is analysing the previous crime patterns and footprints of the two death-row convicts, who escaped from a Dhaka court premise yesterday.

"All units of Rab, including the intelligence wing, are conducting drives to arrest them," Khandaker Al Moin, Rab's legal and media wing director, told reporters today.

Earlier in the morning, Mohammad Harun Or Rashid, additional commissioner of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said the two militants are "under their surveillance" and will be arrested anytime.

Unidentified persons attacked police personnel and whisked away two operatives of banned militant outfit Ansar Al Islam -- Moinul Hasan Shamim alias Samir alias Imran and Abu Siddiq Sohel -- from the court premises.
