Four artefacts made of black-stone were recovered from Godagari upazila in Rajshahi on Saturday. The artefacts included a 20-kg Shiblinga statue, an 18-kg Bishnu idol, a small Ganesh idol and a dish. Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-5) found the artefacts while excavating an abandoned area in the upazila's Nimkuri village during a drive, said Maj Shahed, commander of Railway Colony camp of Rab-5. The elite force also recovered six pieces of Trishul from the scene, he said. The artefacts were handed over to Godagari Police Station. Meanwhile at Bijoynagar village, a mobile court fined five locals caught by Rab-5 personnel for adulterating fertilisers.
