3 electrocuted in Tangail
Three people were electrocuted in Sadar upazila yesterday.
The deceased are day labourer Jinnat Ali, 50, his wife Shahida Begum, 40, and another day labourer Mozibor Mia, 50, of Deldha village of Kakua union.
Union parishad chairman Bodiuzzaman Faruque said the three were cutting grass beside the Dheldha market at around 2.30pm.
Mozibor was electrocuted first when he touched a snapped electric wire of an irrigation pump.
Hearing his scream, Jinnat and Shahida went to rescue him and became electrocuted.
