Subhan sent to central jail from Pabna
Detained Jamaat leader Moulana Abdus Subhan was sent to Dhaka on Tuesday night amid the tight security.
Earlier the International Crimes Tribunal issued a warrant on Sunday to produce the Jamaat leader in the court.
The law enforcers arrested nayeb-e-ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Abdus Subhan from Bangabandhu Bridge toll plaza in Tangail on September 20 in connection with a case filed on charge of violence. He was sent to jail on the same night.
Subhan's counsel submitted a bail prayer on Sunday but it was turned down. Later the tribunal issued a warrant to produce him before it within September 30.
Pabna Police Superintendent Jahangir Hossain Matobbar said, following the warrant of the tribunal Subhan was shifted to Dhaka Central Jail from the Pabna jail on Tuesday night.
