Seized liquor, hemp destroyed
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) destroyed 20,246 bottles of Indian contraband liquor and 99 kilograms of hemp seized from border areas here in last 10 months. BGB-8 battalion sources said the liquor and hemp worth Tk 3.70 crore were seized in separate drives from February to November. The drugs were destroyed at the battalion ground in presence of deputy commissioner Yamin Chowdhury, battalion commander Lt Col Masudul Haque and local elites.
