The Eid holidays could not have come at a better time for football lovers as they got the chance to get lost in the World Cup over the course of the past three days. Family gatherings were highlighted by pulsating matches that included late winners and a host of upsets that set the tone for addas around the country and indeed, around the world. Nights were lost to the beautiful game as well, in a different context for Brazil and Argentina fans who must have had some trouble sleeping after their disappointing draws.
