Three kids drown

Three children, including two siblings, drowned in separate incidents in Thakurgaon and Panchagarh on Sunday.

Nargoon Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Poygum Ali said Nahid, 6, and Abdul, 5, sons of Azibar Rahman of Dhangipukur village in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila fell into a pond near their house and drowned.

Away in Panchagarh, two-year-old Faisal, son of Rabiul Islam of Magura Shahapara village in Sadar upazila drowned in the same afternoon.

Local UP Chairman Abul Kalam Azad said Faisal slipped in a pond adjacent to their house as none of his family members noticed him for a long time.
