Madrasa student found dead

Police yesterday recovered the body of a madrasa student from a spot adjacent to his institution in Morrelganj upazila of the district.

The deceased, Hasibul Sheikh, 11, son of Sobhan Sheikh, was a resident student at Alhaj Rahamatiya Smrity Shishu Sadan Hafezia Qawmi Madrasa.

After the Fazr prayer, Jihadi and Kawsar, two fellow students of the institution, first spotted Hasibul's body and informed the madrasa authority, Officer in Charge of Morrelganj Police Station Monirul Islam said.

Hafizur Rahman, a teacher of the madrasa, said although there are 50 students, but 35 of them stay in the madrasa at night.
