Habiganj tiles workers go on strike

Some 500 workers of tiles manufacturing factories in Madhabpur Upazila of Habiganj started an indefinite strike on Thursday, demanding increasing of their payment.

They brought out several processions and also held rallies in front of the Star Ceramics, a tiles manufacturing company in the upazila.

Selim Ahmed, deputy manager of the company, confirmed the matter to The Daily star, adding that they were trying to meet the workers' demands.
