Couple electrocuted

An elderly couple died from electrocution at Khardia Kazipara village in Saltha upazila yesterday.

The deceased, Rabbani Mollah, 64, son of late Dhala Mollah, and his wife Hasina Begum, 56, were resident of the same village.

Quoting locals, Officer in Charge of Saltha Police Station Mohammad Ali Jinnah said the duo came in contact with a snapped live electric wire as soon they come out of their room yesterday morning and died on the spot.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
