Mugger beaten by mob dies
An alleged mugger who was beaten by a mob in Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj on Friday died at the Upazila Health Complex yesterday.
The identity of the mugger, aged around 28, could not be known immediately. Another mugger, Mohammad Sharif, 30, who was injured in the incident, is undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
The two were mugging one at gunpoint in Taltala bazar area around 11:00pm. Hearing the victim's cry for help locals caught them and gave them a good beating, said Sonargaon police.
