Defence counsels of war crimes accused Jamaat-e-Islami leaders alleged that police yesterday attempted to search their chief Abdur Razzaq's chamber at Naya Platan in the capital. Tajul Islam, a member of the defence team who was present at the chamber, said several police went to the chamber around 4:45pm and wanted to search it. However, police left after officials at the chamber did not allow the search without a warrant and mentioned about a tribunal's direction for not “harassing” the defence counsels, said Tajul. Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of DMP, said on information, they went to the chamber to find an accused in a case but did not find him.
